Ray Burden, CPA, has been assisting businesses of various sizes and individuals navigate their financial challenges for over 36 years. One of Ray’s favorite things about being a CPA is helping his client reach their goals, and Ray prides himself on being committed to providing thorough and timely services to his clients.
Prior to joining Gross Mendelsohn, Ray operated his own accounting firm alongside his wife, Pat Burden. Ray helped small to medium-sized businesses and individuals with all their tax and accounting needs. He also provided specialized tax, accounting, cost and business continuation services to trade contractors… and continues to do so at Gross Mendelsohn.
In his free time, Ray serves on the board of The Ludwig and Nancy Sternberger Charitable Foundation, which focuses on supporting Native American art and health and welfare organizations, local art organizations and science-related organizations. Ray is also a member and previous president of the Reisterstown Lions Club, a nationwide community service organization.

When Ray’s not at work, you’ll find him taking walks in his neighborhood or hiking at local parks with his wife or playing spider solitaire (4 suits) while relaxing.

Ray thoroughly enjoys playing golf. He started playing at a very young age with his dad and has been playing regularly for over 50 years.

Ray met his wife in an accounting class at Towson University and they both passed the CPA exam on their first try.
